Douglas County High School’s James “JJ” Johnson has earned Georgia High School Football Daily’s Player of the Year honors. The 5-10 180 lb athlete led his team to a 13-1 record falling just short of the State Championship game. During the season he lined up at WR, QB, CB, FS, RB, and KR/PR. Always a threat to score every time he touched the ball he put the world on notice that he was one of the best in the nation.
